Whistleblower Policy

Maxicare is committed to conducting business ethically, lawfully, and with integrity. We encourage employees and other stakeholders to speak up if they become aware of conduct that may be illegal, unethical, or contrary to our values and policies.

What You Can Report

You may report any concern you reasonably believe involves:

  • Violations of laws or regulations
  • Breaches of Maxicare policies or the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics
  • Fraud, corruption, or dishonest conduct
  • Unethical or improper business practices
  • Actions or omissions that may endanger people, assets, or the Company.

Reports made honestly, in good faith, and based on reasonable belief are protected from retaliation. You may send in a report without identifying yourself. If you do, you may be assured that your identity will only be divulged to those charged directly with the whistleblower policy’s implementation and governance, and only when it is essential to the handling of the case.

Who Can Raise a Concern

This policy is open to:

  • Maxicare employees at all levels
  • Management and Directors
  • Business partners, vendors, and other stakeholders

Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to speak up.

How to Report

You may submit a Whistleblower Report through any of the following channels:

You are encouraged to provide as much detail as possible (what happened, who was involved, when and where it occurred), but you may report even if you have limited information.

Anonymous Reporting and Confidentiality

You may choose to report anonymously.

However, if you disclose your identity:

  • Your identity and personal details will be treated with strict confidentiality
  • Access to your information will be limited to authorized personnel only
  • You will not be required to confront the object of your report

Maxicare takes all reasonable steps to protect whistleblowers and witnesses from exposure.

Protection Against Retaliation

Maxicare strictly prohibits retaliation.

You will not be penalized, harassed, intimidated, or disadvantaged for raising a concern or participating in an investigation in good faith. This protection also applies to witnesses who provide information or assistance.

If you believe that you are experiencing retaliation, you may report it through the same channels, and appropriate action will be taken.

What Happens After You Report

  • All reports are reviewed promptly and fairly
  • Valid concerns are assessed and handled through an independent and structured process
  • Investigations are conducted discreetly and objectively
  • Information is shared strictly on a need-to-know basis

Good Faith Reporting

Reports must be made honestly and responsibly. Deliberately false or malicious reports are not covered under this policy.
